This magnificent and imposing villa is located on a spectacular and private position within two minutes’ walk from the village square. Having been the manor house of the village in the old days, it has been lovingly restored and redecorated by the family’s grandchildren in a hand-crafted way retaining the thick stone walls and Venetian architecture.

The house embraces elegance with beautiful stylish interiors, local stonework and high ceilings. Spacious terraces on different levels, with day-beds and a hammock, offer wonderful opportunities for relaxation and alfresco dining, all with magnificent panoramic views.

Four beautifully decorated, en suite bedrooms, stocked with top quality bedding, mattresses and linens are spread in different levels. Two bedrooms are located on the ground floor, one is located on the first floor, and the master bedroom with private terrace and outdoor hot tub on the top floor of the 320 square meter mansion.

The fully equipped kitchen and dining room are located on the first floor aside the comfy living room. Wide glass doors open onto a spacious covered terrace that hosts a large outdoor dining table and chairs. Magical views to the fertile countryside and rolling hills all the way to the sea and Akrotiri peninsula can be enjoyed from here.

To top it all up, an interior gym, sauna, wine cellar and tea kitchen with small fridge, are conveniently located on the ground floor with easy access to the pool terrace and gardens.

The 52 square meter salt water pool is surrounded by gentle gardens. Well-designed night lighting creates a heavenly atmosphere tempting the guests for a night in….

Perfect for all times of year, the villa is number one choice for those who prefer a relaxing , luxurious stay with a scattering of like-minded visitors, either dotted along the beach or sampling the fresh fish at one of Almyrida’s waterside tavernas, in less than ten minutes’ drive.
Indoor areas with exceptional facilities
Big openings allow the full glare of daylight to highlight the earthy tones of the villa that invade the space and blend harmonically in with the complementing white background. All indoor areas have been decorated with well-chosen details intended to soothe senses, see to fulfilling your every desire and breathe out sophistication and hospitality.

Constructed over 3 levels,
Entering from the main entrance, the villa is a spacious living area, with a high ceiling supported by wooden beams. Sophisticated furnishing with a touch of tradition, tints of personal taste, carefully-selected lighting, stone or fine wall finishing, bathrooms and kitchens all picked out having in mind our guest’s well-being ornate all three levels of the villa.

The villa’s ground floor
The ground floor includes two separate bedrooms with a private bathroom equipped with a relaxing hot-tub. Fluffy bathrobes and towels, personal hygiene items and all accessories of a privately-owned house are there available for our guests. Each room has an air conditioner, spacious closets and a safe. Both bedrooms look to the beautiful landscape that unravels beneath their private verandas next to the pool. Further inside, we find a small but functional kitchen with a fridge, a coffee machine, a mini bar, a glass-ceramic cook-top and a washing machine. The same area also houses the gym with a treadmill, a stationary bicycle, fitness equipment, a ping pong table and a big sauna for the ultimate relaxation during your holidays! The ground floor also hosts the cellar with wines skilfully produced by the owners. There is also a large freezer and a smaller storage space in the cellar.

The first floor of the villa
The first floor includes one bedroom with a queen-size bed and a private bathroom with a hydro-massage shower cabin. Facilities available to guests include: air conditioners, spacious closets, a safe, space for luggage and a view to the traditional village, the mountains and the serenity of the land from the room’s private balcony. The first floor also houses the large living room with a comfortable couch, a fireplace, an LCD Satellite TV, a DVD player, a hi-fi system and a docking station. Right next to the living room, we find the kitchen with a contemporary-style family dinner table, a fridge, a microwave, a stove, a dish-washer, an espresso coffee maker and all necessary equipment to cook and serve. The spacious indoor areas extend outside to a large veranda with a panoramic view to the mountain and the sea, equipped with an eight-people dining table and many benches to relax for a drink, a coffee or to eat, all hours of the day.

The second floor of the villa
The second floor houses one more spacious bedroom with a twin bed, a private bathroom with a shower, as well as one delightful surprise: a big veranda with an outdoor Jacuzzi for four, looking to breathtaking scenery in the sunset or under the moonlight!

The surroundings of Villa Rouga have been landscaped to offer luxurious but austere facilities and generous comfort to allow guests relax, rest and enjoy.

A well-designed garden.
Blending harmonically in with the landscape around it, the garden of the villa suits Mediterranean climates. A prickly pear tree dominates the space, complemented by pine trees, olive trees and many other kinds of plants and trees that naturally grow in this land. A traditional stone wall, a typical feature of Cretan architecture, surrounds and delineates the garden.
A perimeter overflow pool
Villa Rouga has been equipped with a 52 m2 pool with a sanitation system based on salt water (free of chlorine), friendly to the skin and eyes, with a deck level overflow system to give the impression that water flows directly from some natural spring.
Outdoor areas also include a barbeque and a traditional Cretan stone oven.
